The Kinvara Plein Air festival is an annual event, running since 2022 in the picturesque Kinvara village, on the Wild Atlantic Way and in the surrounding areas of South Co Galway and the Burren, Co .Clare. The festival is organised by members of Kinvara Area Visual Arts (KAVA) as a not-for-profit community arts event.
Kinvara Plein Air 2025 will be held over four days of the June bank holiday weekend, Friday 30 May – Monday 2 June.
The Kinvara Plein Air 2025 festival includes:
full day workshops with a range of experienced tutors for artists working in oil, acrylic, watercolour or pastels.
daily paint-outs in designated locations led by local and guest artists
a charity paint-out open to all, with prizes awarded and an opportunity to sell your work
an exhibition of art completed over the weekend, in the KAVA Courthouse Gallery
scheduled social activities
access to the hospitality and cultural life of the village of Kinvara
